The iPad app industry took off like a rocket and many organizations scrambled and spent oodles of dollars for an app of there own. Some are useful and some are darn right useless. We find apps are important in the sales process or showcasing products or services to clients. Using it as a presentation or sales tool, rather than forcing a client to download and fill up there already full disk space.
