How to Add a Page in WordPress
Hover over Pages in the left admin menu and select Add New.
Add a title.
If needed, click Backend Editor to switch to the visual composer.
Add a Page Section by clicking + add element. Find page section icon in the element menu and click it. It will appear on the page layout.
TIP: Use the search bar within the Add Element selector to quickly find commonly used elements.
To add content, click the + icon and choose an element. Elements can be customized by clicking the pencil icon located either at the top right-hand corner of each element, or in the green box that appears when you hover over one (depending on the type of element). Reference old completed pages for layout/content ideas.
To delete content, hover over the element and select the x.
Select the appropriate Page Attribute on the right to create a hierarchy if applicable.
Scroll down the page to a section titled Yoast Settings. Click the tab to expand it, if needed. Here, add a title and description of the project in the meta description area. This helps Google with Search Results. The Slug is generated automatically based off the title and can be left as is.
When all changes are done, click Publish or Update near the upper right side.
Tips & Tricks
Use red elements when possible. The red elements are part of the theme used for your site and will have more options.
You can see what an element is either by the icon and label or by hovering over it. For example, you can not see that a row is not labeled “row” until you hover over it. This also applies to columns.
